Shrum had a family friend who played at UCLA while Bruce was an assistant, and Shrum's cousin, Trenton Brooks, who played at Nevada from 2014-2016, played for Coach Bruce during his first year as a head coach with the Wolf Pack. Shrum would soon become part of head coach TJ Bruce's first recruiting class. Read more.
